Advanced Provider Perinatal Mental Health Training: Practical Techniques & Tools

This 7-hour curriculum is designed for mental health and other professionals who work with mothers, birthing people, and families who have completed prior training in PMADs.

This training focuses on 1. cultivating anti-oppression practices; 2. screening for and treating OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, and Suicidality; 3. screening for and treating co-occurring Substance Use Disorders and Disordered Eating; 4. The role of psychopharmacology in treating Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders; and 5. case presentations. Learning objectives: Design personal anti-oppression practices. Develop an in-depth understanding of screening, evaluation methods, tools, and treatment methods for Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Substance Use Disorders, and Disordered Eating during the perinatal time. Identify, assess, and treat suicidality and homicidally in the PMAD population.
