DETAILS

We will explore ways to recognize what we are feeling and how that impacts how we show up, build our curiosity about those different from ourselves, and deepen our awareness of the needs and wants of others. This emotional awareness is critical to creating spaces that can address and health from racism and white supremacy. This webinar is appropriate for mental health, pediatric, and perinatal health providers, community-based health providers, home visitors, and anyone passionate about racial justice in the perinatal health space. Birungi Ives is the founder of Aligne Consulting. She leads Diversity, Equity and Inclusion clients to a deeper understanding of how racism manifests in our society in overt and covert ways. Participants continue a path of healing the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual impacts of racism, discrimination, and marginalization on all of us.
