Facilitated by Kristen Mahoney and Emma Levi. Kristen Mahoney is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor in Washington, DC and Virginia. She is the co-owner of Women’s Therapy & Wellness, a virtual practice that focuses on serving women with concerns related to life transition, caregiver burnout, parenting, and reproductive mental health. She has worked in all levels of care in mental health, from inpatient to outpatient, as well as in the public school system. Kristen has worked with women to address a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, mood disorders, and personality disorders, utilizing her training in ACT, CBT, and DBT. She is also currently pursing training in EMDR for perinatal clients. Kristen has a passion for supporting clients experiencing reproductive mental health concerns including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, and pregnancy loss. With her background in the treatment of eating disorders, she is particularly interested in the intersection between reproductive mental health and eating disorders. She has completed specialized training from Postpartum Support International and continues to grow her expertise in reproductive mental health through self-study, professional consultation groups, and continuing education in order to best serve her clients. Additionally, Kristen supports Postpartum Support Virginia as a warmline volunteer. Emma Levi, RDN, LDN, is passionate about rejecting the diet mentality intertwined within society’s diet culture. She hopes to cultivate a sustainable lifestyle for clients. Emma believes in “Health at Every Size”, “All Foods Fit”, and “Intuitive Eating”. It is her conviction that making peace with food is possible and is an avenue to a higher quality of life. Emma has had various nutrition therapy experiences in outpatient, inpatient, and community practices. Attendees are eligible to receive continuing education credits through NBCC.
