DETAILS

LGBTQIA+ individuals experience unique challenges during pregnancy, reproductive loss, and early stages of parenting. Healthcare and peer support settings are often heteronormative and cisnormative, but are gradually becoming more inclusive. We will summarize research and best practices for supporting LGBTQIA+ birthing individuals and their partners during the perinatal period. This Lunch & Learn event is appropriate for volunteers, mental health providers, birth professionals, and community partners.
